Terms & Policies

What you're buying and what you're not.

Plain language. No fine print that contradicts the headline.

Gift Contributions ($10–$999)

When you contribute $10–$999 to a Polarity Lab project or the General Fund, you are making a gift in exchange for perks. There is no financial return. No profit split. No equity. No obligation on our part beyond delivering the perks described.

Tier 1

$10–$99

Your name in the founding credits on the project page and site. We add this when we confirm your contribution.

Tier 2

$100–$999

Everything above, plus a physical artifact from the project. Each project has its own artifact, described on the project page. These ship when the project reaches its first disbursement milestone, typically 3–6 months after the project starts generating revenue. If a project does not reach that milestone, the physical gift is not fulfilled. Your contribution is not refunded.

Perks are best-effort. Timelines are estimates. If something changes significantly we will communicate it directly.

No refunds. Contributions at these tiers are non-refundable. If you have a genuine issue, email us and we'll talk.

Founding Partner ($1,000+)

Contributions of $1,000 or more involve a revenue participation agreement signed directly between you and the relevant Polarity Lab project. These are private arrangements, not publicly advertised investment products.

The terms of your specific agreement govern everything at this tier. To learn more, email team@polarity-lab.com.

Key things to know before that conversation:

This is not equity. You are not buying ownership.
Revenue participation is time-bounded. It does not last forever.
If a project does not generate revenue, you do not receive a return. Early-stage projects carry real risk.
You will be asked to sign a written agreement before any contribution is accepted at this tier.

IP Policy

Projects incubated at Polarity Lab transfer their intellectual property to the lab as part of the project agreement. This is what makes cross-project collaboration work. It is also what allows the lab to continue supporting a project if its original domain lead exits.

When you contribute to a project as a collaborator, donor, or founding partner, you do not acquire any IP rights. The work belongs to the lab.

Privacy

We collect email addresses for the newsletter and for contribution records. We do not sell them. We do not share them with third parties except where required by law or required to process your contribution, for example with payment processors.

If you want us to delete your data, email team@polarity-lab.com.
