What the lab is

An environmental therapeutics lab.

Polarity Lab is an environmental therapeutics lab. It designs interdisciplinary environments that bring about healing, like social prescribing, but wider. Every project in the lab is either a diagnostic instrument (measuring something medicine hasn't measured yet) or a therapeutic environment (a place or experience that produces a specific, measurable change). Usually both. The lab's job is to make sure every project has both.

Projects in the lab share IP, which means each one gets stronger as the others advance. The Proximity Index powers both PolarityGPS and WAXFEED. Integrity Delta's findings inform how every recommendation system in the lab gets built. AVDP's emotional response data feeds cognitive profiling. No external project can replicate that compounding. It only works inside the shared IP structure.

The lab takes 15% of project revenue to fund the flywheel: legal, IP, patenting, and the network that gets everyone paid faster.

How to get involved.

Path 01

Bring a Project

You have something real, a product, a research program, or both, that fits the environmental therapeutics thesis. You want infrastructure, IP protection, legal support, a network, and a model that pays you without giving away permanent equity.

What the lab looks for

  • Fits the environmental therapeutics thesis (diagnostic instrument or therapeutic environment)
  • An MVP or working prototype. The lab strengthens projects, it doesn't build them from scratch.
  • A named domain lead who will run it
  • No geographic constraint

What the lab provides

  • Legal and IP infrastructure
  • Cross-project collaboration — your project benefits from every other project in the lab
  • The disbursement model: 15% to lab, you keep the leading majority of what you build
  • Network and institutional relationships

Path 02

Join a Project

You have skills and want to work on something real. Open roles are listed on each project page with contribution tier and disbursement weight specified upfront. You know what you're signing up for before you apply.

Contribution tiers

Core Collaborator — daily involvement, load-bearing work 1.0x
Contributing Collaborator — regular involvement, specific domain 0.6x
Advisor — periodic, specialized input 0.25x

Disbursement starts after each project hits its 3–6 month runway threshold. Tier weights are reviewed quarterly.

Path 03

Back a Project

You believe in something before it's obvious. Gift-tier backing ($10–$999) earns perks: founding credits, physical artifacts from the work. For deeper financial involvement, reach out to the team directly.

Gift tiers

  • $10–$99 — Founding credit on the project
  • $100–$499 — Founding credit plus physical artifact from the work
  • $500–$999 — Above plus early access to project outputs
  • $1,000+ — Reach out directly to discuss
